In Nordmaling municipality, in the middle between Umeå and Örnsköldsvik, is the old store in Örsbäck. It is a shop full of interior details with design from now and shape from the past, out in the country, just 8 minutes from the E4. Most things in the store also do well as gifts.
The store in Örsbäck was built in 1951. From the beginning it was a country store, but today the store houses both new and recycled designs for your home. We appreciate the Scandinavian style and are happy to see Swedish and Nordic design in the store. In the first place, we buy interior details made in Sweden - then it is easier to know that things are made in a sustainable and neat way. Parts of the range are sold in our e-shop at dengamlabutiken.se
We hand-pick our own range and are part of Unika stores, the national network for local, independent and privately owned stores that work sustainably. We are also a certified Västerbotten Experience. It is a seal of quality that shows that we have been examined according to an international model and met the requirements for, among other things, sustainability, hospitality and local responsibility.
You who visit us are welcome to sit down in our small salon and browse in interior design magazines and books on the theme of interior design and retro. We sell ice cream and soft drinks, it happens that we offer coffee and we are happy to recommend farm shops and nice coffee and lunch places nearby.
We are also part of Formstråket, where we and six partners who work in café-craft-design along the Hörnsjö-Öre road regularly coordinate our opening hours and arrange events in our stores. ”
