Interior & Design in Örsbäck

In the municipality of Nordmaling, halfway between Umeå and Örnsköldsvik, there is the independent shop Inredning & Design in Örsbäck. The property where the store is located was built in 1951 as a general store, but today the renovated property houses interior design, design and gifts in Scandinavian style.

We who run the shop are called Thord and Chatarina W Jonsson. We prioritize Swedish and Nordic design and primarily buy interior details that are also made in Sweden. Transports will be shorter and it will be easier to know that the items have been produced in a sustainable and attractive way.

As a tribute to the history of the house, we also mix in recycled items and have a room with linseed oil soap and other household products. Parts of the range are sold in our e-shop at dengamlabutiken.se

The old store in Örsbäck is a certified Västerbotten Experience. It is a seal of quality that shows that we have been examined according to an international model and have met the requirements for, among other things, sustainability, hospitality and local responsibility.
You who visit us are welcome to settle down in our small salon and browse interior design magazines and books on the theme of interior design and retro. During the summer season, we sell soft drinks, we sometimes offer coffee and we are happy to recommend farm shops and nice coffee and lunch places nearby.

We are part of Formstråket, where we and six partners who work in café-craft-design along the road Hörnsjö-Öre regularly coordinate our opening hours and arrange events in our stores.
