Nordmaling's local history museum

Hembygdsmuseum in central Nordmaling.

Nordmalings Hembygdsmuseum is run by Nordmalings Hembygdsföreningen in a peaceful environment that today has cultural-historical status and which has been supplemented with a local history area.

Nordmaling's Hembygdsförening was formed on 25 January 1942 and was then given the right to dispose of a wing building for Prästgården, which became Nordmaling's Hembygdsmuseum.

The museum, which was the rectory's summer cottage, today contains a cloakroom with many fine home-woven dresses as well as many other old objects from the 18th and 19th centuries, which parishioners have donated to the local history museum.

The museum is open for viewing during the summer. There is also a bakery that can be rented for flatbread baking.

Open by appointment and during the summer.
