Stefan Markström

Works with sculpture and painting, now with stripped-down images of nature. The paintings and sculptures came into being, so to speak, and took shape from nature as an idea and the possibilities that the materials provide. It sounds a bit abstract when you say "nature as an idea", partly there is concrete nature out there that can be visited and pointed out on a map, partly there is an inner image or idea of nature. An exploration and design of nature's complex combination of chance and order.
