In 1898, the thing was moved from Levar to Nyåker. The courthouse was bought by a mission church in 1960 and served for a period as a mission church.
The courthouse caretaker's home downstairs is now a museum. The detention cells are furnished with original furniture. In the courtroom on the upper floor is the judge's table and the beautiful judge's chair, carved at the end of the 19th century. An old coffin and handcuffs are also part of the furniture.
