Gårtjärnshögen

Gårtjärnshögen is a rough walk marking between Bredvik and Järnäs villages. It is mentioned i.a. in documents from 1783 (marking no. 1 at the far right of the map) in a border dispute between Bredvik and Järnäs villages.

»Higher sand hill surrounded by marshy land, there were some stones lying like old ones
five-stone-raw. The stones sunk into the ground, the larger hill lying and without wisps, this place was recognized by both the Byemännen for Råmärke and the hill for Hesianäs. " [Tyko Lundkvist's transcript, Västerbotten 1953 page 148]
